The brief

In early 2023, Luminary was engaged by the board of CS Energy to assist in appointing a new Chief Executive Officer. The search required outstanding global energy leaders who can inspire a large regionally dispersed workforce with a compelling vision, certainty, and strategic clarity.

The solution

Luminary conducted a comprehensive national search process across relevant energy companies, including referrals from the private sector with previous government experience or deep knowledge across power generation, utilities electricity and infrastructure. 

The independent selection committee was presented with our proprietary L-CAR™ tool, including concise longlist reports and our recommendation for interviews. Our submission included highly qualified, verified and diverse leaders with five applicants progressing to a selection panel interview.​

The result

The successful candidate appointed in July 2023 brings experience with strategic leadership across energy, planning, policy, stakeholder engagement, and reform with over 30 years of values-based leadership at federal and state levels.
