Energy Markets and Regulation
The Executive General Manager (EGM) Energy Markets Trading and Regulation holds a pivotal leadership role within the organisation. A key advisor to the CEO and Board, this role is accountable for overseeing and driving the strategic direction of energy markets trading (including spot and financial), delivering deep analytics insights and ensuring regulatory compliance and leadership in market reform initiatives.

What We Are Looking For
-
Education & Certification
Degree level qualifications in a relevant discipline such as economics, commerce or legal.
Post graduate qualifications in management or governance discipline desirable.
Meet ASIC’s requirements to fulfil the role of Responsible Manager for CS Energy.

Experience
Experience in an Executive Leadership role with extensive energy markets trading, regulation and commodities experience. OR
Energy sector experience is an advantage however broader experience in commodity trading/treasury functions and other like commercial roles would be valued.
Strong business and policy acumen, commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Strong financial acumen including strong understanding of financial instruments related to energy trading.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a cooperative and collaborative team environment.
Proven ability to manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills.
The ability to develop and execute long-term strategies and drive positive business outcomes.
Develop and lead a high performing team, promoting innovation, continuous improvement and championing change.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage risk related to commodity trading and financial exposure, assessing risk and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Special Requirements
Knowledge and understanding of: Law relating to corporations (including Corporations Act and ASIC Act) and Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (formerly Trade Practices Act 1974).
