The Executive General Manager (EGM) of Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Governance holds a pivotal leadership role within the organisation, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A key advisor to the CEO and Board, this role is accountable for providing high level strategic oversight of CS Energy’s Corporate Affairs, Legal, Internal Audit, Company Secretariat, Risk and Compliance and Data Governance functions.

Core Accountabilities

    • Creates a culture focussed on health, process safety, personal safety and environmental sustainability excellence.

    • Represents CSE at industry forums to promote business presence & reputation.

    • Sets strategic direction & goals to drive value & deliver long term profitability and sustainability to shareholders.

    • Holds self to account for delivering results & utilising formal performance management processes to track, monitor & acknowledge individual performance contributions.

    • Promotes the creation of shared mission, vision, & values & uses those principles to guide actions.

    • Translates vision into action by inspiring others to act, while providing guideposts for decision-making & action.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education & Certification

    Degree level qualifications in a relevant field such as communications, public relations, corporate governance, law or a business related discipline.

    Postgraduate qualifications (highly desirable) in business, corporate governance, public administration, or similar fields.

    Relevant certifications in corporate governance, risk management, or compliance.

  • Experience

    Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of high level advice and support in the fields of external relations, stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, risk management, legal and compliance, preferably at a senior management level.

    Experience managing complex external relationships, including state and federal government agencies, regulators, investors, industry bodies, and other key stakeholders.

    Proven track record of working with boards of directors and executive leadership teams, supporting corporate governance structures, and facilitating board meetings and committees.

    Regulatory and compliance experience, ensuring the organisation adheres to relevant laws and best practices in governance.

    Experience with risk management and assurance frameworks and understanding of the ethical standards required for strong governance and stakeholder accountability.

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a cooperative and collaborative team environment;

    The ability to develop and execute long-term strategies and drive positive business outcomes.

    Develop and lead a high performing team, promoting innovation, continuous improvement and championing change.

  • Special Requirements

    Understanding the nuances of being a Government Owned Corporation.
